The mistake that a lot of people make is that by skipping breakfast they hope to shed some calories, but what actually happens is you end up overeating during lunch or snacking too much before lunch. So eat a healthy breakfast that will sustain you until lunch time. Closing your kitchen at night is another way to lose weight. This means that after dinner, during that eight o’clock movie you will not be snacking on potato chips. The same goes for beverages. Beware of sugar laden juices and sodas. As for your midday snacks, stick to fruit and vegetables. This particular food group is very beneficial when it comes

down to weight loss because it is rich in hunger sustaining fiber. Eating lean protein with every meal is also beneficial because it keeps you feeling full longer.


Another way to lose weight without actually dieting is by reducing your portion sizes. Making your meals even 20% smaller can help you drop a few pounds. And if you are not a big fan of exercising, try walking more each day. Walk while on the telephone, walk in place during television commercials, and take your dog out for extra bathroom trips. There are countless ways that you can add more physical activity into your daily lifestyle without actually exercising. And the last step towards weight loss is purchasing products that are lighter in calories. Almost every single food out there is now available low fat, fat free, reduced fat, and lean. Simply make the switch. The food tastes the same, yet it’s better for you. So if you ever had a fear of dieting, try adopting these tips into your daily lifestyle and before you know it you will be ready to move on to more complex weight loss programs.
